Hello!

So Monday was my weigh in day, and so far I have lost 10 lbs since I started Weight Watchers! I am so happy with myself, and I probably could have done better, but I did eat out with my family a few times and indulged in Panda Express :) Plus holiday food over memorial day weekend ;)

But since I knew that I was eating so richly, I went ahead and ate lots of 0 point foods to round out my meal plan. Which, is just tasty anyways so I didn't mind at all.
So just so it's out there, I am at 239lbs today.

 I can do this!

Weekly update!

So I've been doing the counting points, and so far so good. I had a set back with Josh wanting doughnuts the other day... and yes, I had a doughnut. But was it the end of the world? No. I made adjustments to the rest of the day and nothing horrible happened. I also went to my first meeting, which wasn't like I was expecting it to be. I was expecting to get to know the people there, and to share. Not so much, people didn't really want to say hi to me or anything, just the sponsor. Bleh.

Over the last week I have dropped 5 lbs, which is awesome :) I though I had lost some, but I didn't want to check until today!

A thing that is driving me crazy is people bringing ultra tempting goodies into my kitchen. My mother-in-law brought HUGE muffins from Costco, which if you have yet to see those, they are the size of a grapefruit and are packed with calories. Tasty, tasty calories. I know that this wont go away, but I need to figure out what I can do myself to keep from picking at them. * Though I did forget to move them off the stove, and I accidentally turned on the burner under the package instead of the over. Now my house smells like burned plastic. Ugh*
My mother showed up with a pint of Ben & Jerry's and a bag of cookies too, and just left them here! I told her to take the cookies back, but Josh ate the entire pint himself.
Which, started a hunger for chocolaty ice cream goodness. BUT on my shopping trip, I found some low fat ice cream that weight watchers actually makes, and it's portioned correctly. AND it is very, very yummy.

My biggest thing is sticking to my plan, eating a lot of fruits for snacks, and drinking lots of tea and water.
My goal - To lose 5 more pounds by next week! And to try and exercise at least 3 times before next Friday.

Starting today

So today is the day I took a more controlled grasp over my weight.
I have signed up for Weight Watchers. I have tried sticking to a "diet" and making time for the gym.... well now, I am forking over hard earned money in the name of weight loss. So, hopefully... this gives me a push.
My inspiration? I be a leaner, healthier me. I want to reach my high school body. I want to make sure I don't develop health issues. I want to have stronger joints.

My first meeting is on 5/6 and I am hoping to see some results from this!!

VERY EXCITED!
