*please excuse any glaring typing errors, my vision is less than stellar today*

Sadly, I had no ride to make it to my WW meeting today  :(
I went ahead and weighed myself at home just to see if my week went as I though, and I was right. No loss, but no significant gain. I was not on my best behavior and had some candy a couple of days in a row, not to mention having eaten out A LOT. I didn't prepare any meals at home what so ever, and I think that is was got me. I found that when I was extremely active in the kitchen making foods, my weight dropped much more than the times when I relied on other people to make my food for me.
I hope I can make a difference this week, to kind of make it up to myself,

But today I was trying to get in to the doctor today for a hormone check up, and tomorrow I have to go back to the Opthomology department at the hospital. Why, you ask? Because last week I had a my monthly check in with my eye doctor, and he administered a shot to my right eye to maintain stability, and for whatever reason only the resident doctor looked at my eyes through the viewer. My main doctor usually double checks everything, but not that day. Well, on Thursday, I started having trouble seeing with my left eye ( like a dip was forming in words at the top) and as the days have gone by, it has just gotten more pronounced... so I think I will be dropping in for an emergency treatment tomorrow to keep a scar from forming. I only have the one "good" eye right now and I am going to try everything to keep it in as best condition as possible.

Something interesting happened this week. I found out one of my coworkers actually goes to the same clinic I go to, he uses my old doctor! He goes in for a different reason, though. He had a stroke which caused him to go blind, and when the doctors were trying to fix his retinas, they had crossed the central vision with the laser... causing a huge scar. He actually is getting treatment via injection to have the scars reduced. Somehow, the shot he receives "eats" away at the scar tissue. Hopefully, soon he will be able to get off of disabilities to work full time again.

It's interesting how many people you meet with similar issues, that you could have never known about without talking to them.

Down from 249
Haha, I meant to blog as soon as I got home from my meeting on Monday... but my husband had to get the tail lights fixed, and he thought he would be in and out and done by the time my meeting was over. Yeah, no. I didn't see him for almost 2 hours. Thankfully I was near Chick-fil-a and was able to get my lunch :)
Speaking of, I love the Market Salad they have, minus the blue cheese. YUM. And only 4 points! Unless you add nuts, granola, and dressing. But still, yum!

Anyways, I got my 5% goal sticker! And I got a 5lbs sticker as well! My group never handed me anything to put my bravo stickers on, so I really am not sure what to do with them. What are we supposed to put them on? Google results mentioned a bookmark, but I just put it on my green tracking book.

Interestingly enough, I was comparing my weight loss to things that I see everyday... and since I am a pet trainer in a pet store, I see dog food. Which, comes in a 17lb bag. It's crazy to think about it that way! That's how much has come off!

I've lost a bag of dog food in 6 weeks. Insane.

Down from 249! Yay!

I took this photo on Monday, I'm just slow when it comes to emailing it to myself and then uploading it. Not that it's hard. Just hard to remember to do ;)
Pretty proud of myself. Last weekend I had a cupcake while at work, I allowed myself that, but I also had a healthy lunch of Dijon chicken breasts and brown rice. Can't remember dinner, but I was proud of myself that day. You have to let yourself enjoy food, just not bad foods all the time.
Christmas isn't special if it's Christmas everyday!
Then I had dreams about raiding a bakery that had cinnamon rolls the size of my head, haha! I might have a sugar addiction. But I am aware of it, and it is not going to control me.
Favorite finds lately have been the Extra gum in Cinnamon Roll, and Orbit gum in strawberry. I gave up gum last year, but I found that it helps get me past a craving and to not indulge.

My goal is to get more exercise in this week. I hurt my back last week, and it has just now started to feel better, so hopefully I can do that soon :3
Also, I want to start posting on Mondays after my meeting, so I can be more consistent!

Candyloupe?!?

So I  saw this magical cantaloupe hybrid at the store yesterday, and I poked and sniffed at it, and tried to the best of my ability to pick the very best one.

It was amazing! The perfect cantaloupe. It was sweet and tender, and deliciously juicy. I want more!

So time to update!

This last week I lost .5 lbs !

This last week was tough, my weekly meeting on mondays had been cancelled, and for some reason I feel like that affected my losing streak. I didn't stick to my simple start, and mainly ate out. Which I think was a big no no. So tomorrow I will be doing more simple start meals to get my back in gear.

I did have a meeting this week though. We talked about the strategies coming up for this summer, with yummy summer foods and temptations (ICE CREAM) and how to  deal. I know I have to stay strong, control portions, and eat lower calories  if I do indulge.

I made some amazing chicken last night, throwing some grilled chicken breasts into a pan, adding to big spoonfuls of Greek yogurt to them, some water, and then a couple of dashes of ranch dressing mix on top, and I let that simmer until the liquid was mostly gone. YUM. Served it up with rice, and healthy deliciousness.

Tonight, we had a birthday party for my niece, and we went to Johnny Carino's to celebrate. Holy cow. I pulled out my WW app on my phone to figure out what I wanted to eat, and so many points!! I ordered the Chicken Parmesan, but cut it in half to take home *Lunch for tomorrow!* before I took a bite, and I ordered a side salad and tried to fill up on greens before I started my meal. The hardest part though? Watching everyone eat the yummy bread they put on the table. Man, it smelled so good!

ONE DAY AT A TIME!
