I understand that every doctor has to start somewhere But sometimes, these newbie doctors really just suck. Some yank and smash your face around, others are severely lacking in person skills. Today, while he was nice he seemed to think I was an idiot. He kept telling me that my right eye had 20/20 vision because my chart said it 4 years ago. Ecen though i told him no 5 times, said my left eye sees better now, and even pointed at it, he insisted I was wrong. I finally told him to check his dates, because my right eye hasn't been 20/20 in about 18 months. Guess what, I was right. Go figure, the person who is the one with the.bum eye knows which eye she sees better out of. He also jammed his thumb into my eye trying to hold my eyelid open and got frustrated when after 30 seconds of bright light and breathing on it, it waters and i have to blink because it is , get this, painful. And oh, your thumb hurts and that makes it water too.
So, after he proceeded to smash his handheld optical glass edge into my eye socket, he held my stuffy nose shut and i couldn't breathe. My face hurts, I am tired and mad, and I haven't even had my shot at this point.
3 Days later I am writing this, my eye still hurts and I have broken vessels around my iris. Not because of the doctor who performs my shots regularly, but because of the resident who decided he wanted to "help" by pressing the eyelid speculum down into the inner corner while her released closed it. Not only did it scrape my eye, but made it sore and swollen for two days and caused blood spots.
I am so mad, and I will be telling my doctor about this.
